The Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act (IITAA) requires the State of Illinois to review its accessibility standards every three years. You may recall that in 2017, the State updated the IITAA standards to match Federal Section 508 standards. Since it has been three years, the State has scheduled another IITAA standards review, which will be held via teleconference on Thursday, November 19, 1:30 - 3:00.
The discussion will focus on how to keep IITAA standards synchronized with Section 508 standards, which specifically reference the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, while looking ahead to WCAG 2.1, 2.2 and beyond.
